Liebe Kursleiter*innen und Teilnehmer*innen,
ab dem 20.10.2021 17 Uhr wird die ältere Verschlüsselungsmethode für die eduroam-WLAN-Verbindung abgestellt. Danach ist eine WLAN-Verbindung über eduroam nur möglich, wenn das Betriebssystem an den Geräten die Mindestvoraussetzung erfüllen:
- Windows 10 ab Build 1511 (zurzeit ist 21h1, 1511 ist die Version vom Jahr 2015)
- Android 5 (zurzeit ist 10)
- iOS 11 (zurzeit 14)
- macOS 10.13 (zurzeit 11.6)
In der Regel werden alle Geräte weiter gut funktionieren, die Sie nach 2016 gekauft haben.

As of 20.10.2021 5 pm, the older encryption method for the eduroam WLAN connection will be discontinued. After that, a WLAN connection via eduroam will only be possible if the operating system on the devices meets the minimum requirement:
- Windows 10 from build 1511 (currently is 21h1, 1511 is the 2015 version).
- Android 5 (currently 10)
- iOS 11 (currently 14)
- macOS 10.13 (currently 11.6)
As a rule, all devices you bought after 2016 will continue to work fine.
